A plumber working on pipes under a sink

You install it. We test it.

Washington requires every new, repaired or relocated backflow assembly to be tested by a certified BAT before it’s relied on. If nobody on your crew carries a BAT card, we’re your tester — fast, documented, and we never poach your customer.

Why partner

Why plumbers bring us in

01

The test is required before service

WAC 246-290-490 and the plumbing code require a DOH-certified BAT to test every assembly after installation, reinstallation, relocation or repair. No passing test, no sign-off.

02

BAT is a separate certification

A PL01 or PL02 lets you install assemblies; it doesn’t let you test them. Keeping a BAT, a calibrated test kit and utility registrations current is real overhead for a plumbing shop.

03

Utilities want it filed their way

SPU uses SAMS, Renton uses iBackflow, Issaquah and Woodinville use Tokay, Bothell uses VEPO. We’re set up in all of them, so the report never bounces.

What we handle

Our scope

  • Initial tests on new installations and replacements
  • Retests after your repairs
  • Annual tests for your service customers
  • Filing with the water utility + copy to you
  • Failure diagnosis so you know exactly which part to bring

Tenant improvements

New RP on a restaurant or clinic TI — we test it the same day you finish so the inspector isn’t waiting.

Water heater & boiler work

Boiler make-up lines and hydronic systems with treatment chemicals need RP protection and a test after install.

Service calls

Your customer’s annual test is due and the assembly fails? We diagnose; you do the inside-building repair; we retest.

FAQ

Partner questions

Also partnering with:

01 Do you do plumbing repairs on my customers’ assemblies?
Inside-building repair and maintenance is plumbing work under Washington law (PL01, PL02 or PL30). When we find a failure inside a building on one of your jobs, we diagnose it and hand it back to you to repair, then retest.
02 How fast can you test a new install?
Partner jobs get priority. Text us the address and assembly type when you’re close to done, and we’ll schedule around your inspection.
03 Who files the report with the utility?
We do, using whatever system that utility requires, and we copy you and the owner.
