Irrigation backflow, handled for your crews

Every irrigation system on a public water supply needs a backflow assembly, and that assembly needs a certified test at installation and every year after. We work alongside your crews at install and start-up so the system goes live, and stays compliant.

Why partner

Why landscapers & irrigation contractors bring us in

01

Irrigation is the #1 cross-connection

Sprinkler lines sit in fertilizer, pesticide and pet waste. That’s why every utility in the region requires protection on irrigation — and a certified test to prove it works.

02

Start-up is when it fails

Puget Sound cold snaps crack PVB bonnets and bodies on systems that weren’t fully drained. Spring start-up is when you find out — and when the test is due.

03

Chemical injection means RP

If you inject fertilizer through the irrigation, the system is a high health hazard and needs a Reduced Pressure Backflow Assembly — not a PVB or DC.

What we handle

Our scope

  • Initial tests on new irrigation installs
  • Spring start-up testing, scheduled with your route
  • Annual tests for your maintenance accounts
  • Freeze-damage diagnosis on PVBs and SVBs
  • Outside-building repairs and rebuilds (contractor-registered)

New system installs

You trench and set the assembly; we test it and file the initial report so the utility has it on record.

Commercial & HOA maintenance

Common-area irrigation, office parks and multifamily grounds — we test every assembly on your accounts on one schedule.

Spring start-up

Tell us your start-up route and we’ll test right behind your crew, while the system is pressurized.

FAQ

Partner questions

Also partnering with:

01 Can you meet my crew at start-up?
Yes. Send us your start-up schedule and we’ll slot tests in behind your crew while each system is pressurized.
02 What if the PVB is cracked from freezing?
We’ll confirm it and quote the repair or replacement. Outside-building repair work is covered by our contractor registration; we retest and file when it passes.
03 Does the PVB height matter?
Yes — a pressure vacuum breaker must sit at least 12 inches above the highest downstream outlet. We flag installations that don’t meet it.
